There’s change in the air this fall as we approach the election and the
transition. A lot of folks are seeking to leverage positive change by
their vote. It’s a great American tradition.
And yet the greatest change agents, people like Jesus and Gandhi, knew there’s something even more basic than voting if you want God’s will to be done in the world. The change we desire first must take root in us. Jesus invited us to live into God’s desired future right now, to begin living out of different values, TO BE THE CHANGE we seek.
During the months of October and November, the Epicenter faith communities are focused around the theme BE THE CHANGE. We are talking about nuts and bolts of how we can live the values of God’s new world in this old world, and thus truly make a difference with our lives.
